Established in 1931, the University of Tampa is a private co-educational University in Downtown Tampa. UT offers over 200 programs of study as well as countless amenities and services for its students and faculty.
To further enhance campus life and students’ co-curricular experience, The University of Tampa offers a new fitness center in the heart of the UT campus. The building features high ceilings, open rooms and liberal use of glass to allow for sunlight and a connection to the outdoors. The open floor plan is intended to enhance visibility, foster social interaction and build community
With 60,000 square feet of space and 6 group exercise rooms, the University of Tampa’s brand new fitness facility has something for everyone. The latest and most advanced equipment from PRECOR makes up the majority of equipment, and is complemented by equipment from Stages, Queenax, Troy Barbell, and Escape Fitness.

Specifically, the center features six group exercise rooms, which includes an indoor cycling room. Two small fitness assessment rooms are available, as well as a “flexible” classroom to allow for educational and training functions. A large number of Precor cardio machines (treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical and adaptive motion trainers) as well as free weights, plate loaded and selectorized machines are available for students, faculty and staff.
Their equipment is fully customized with school colors, logos, and is sure to bring out each student’s inner Spartan!
